New CMRT, EMRT, and AMRT Templates Released for 2026
CMRT 6.6, EMRT 2.11, and AMRT 1.31 now available to download
On April 17, the Responsible Minerals Initiative (RMI) released an updated Conflict Minerals Reporting Template (CMRT) version: CMRT 6.6, Extended Minerals Reporting Template (EMRT) version: EMRT 2.11, and an updated Additional Minerals Reporting Template (AMRT) version: AMRT 1.31.
GreenSoft provides comprehensive support for CMRT, EMRT, and AMRT data collection, validation, and review as part of our Conflict Minerals compliance services.
CMRT 6.6: The Conflict Minerals Reporting Template
The Conflict Minerals Reporting Template (CMRT) is used to exchange 3TG conflict minerals (tin, tungsten, tantalum, and gold) data across the supply chain in order to comply with the U.S. Conflict Minerals regulation (U.S. Dodd-Frank Act of 2010).
What’s New in CMRT 6.6
Changes to CMRT 6.6 from the prior version include:
- Change to Product List to include "Requester Product Number" and "Requester Product Name"
- Enhancements which do not conflict with IPC-1755
- Update to ISO short names for countries, states / provinces
- Updates to Smelter Reference List and Standard Smelter List
The new CMRT template is available for download on the Responsible Minerals Initiative website.
The RMI recommends using CMRT 6.6 for the Reporting Year. The next version of the EMRT is anticipated to be released in Spring 2027.
EMRT 2.11: The Extended Minerals Reporting Template
The Extended Minerals Reporting Template (EMRT) form is used to facilitate the transfer of due diligence information on the presence of cobalt and mica in supply chains. The EMRT form was developed by RMI in accordance with the OECD Due Diligence Guidance for Responsible Supply Chains of Minerals from Conflict-Affected and High-Risk Areas.
What’s New in EMRT 2.11
Changes to EMRT 2.11 from the prior version include:
- Enhancements which do not conflict with IPC-1755
- Update to ISO short names for countries, states / provinces
- Corrected date input issue on Declaration tab
- Updates to Smelter Reference List and Standard Smelter List
The first version of the EMRT form was launched in October 2021. RMI recommends using the EMRT form for cobalt and mica supplier reporting rather than the Cobalt Reporting Template (CRT) or Mica Reporting Template (MRT), both of which were phased out in March 2022.
The new EMRT template is available for download on the RMI website.
The RMI recommends using EMRT 2.11 for the Reporting Year. The next version of the EMRT is anticipated to be released in Spring 2027.
AMRT 1.31: The Additional Minerals Reporting Template
The Additional Minerals Reporting Template (AMRT) - formerly known as the Pilot Reporting Template (PRT) - is a free, standardized reporting template developed by RMI to identify pinch points and collect due diligence information for minerals not covered by the Conflict Minerals Reporting Template (CMRT) and Extended Minerals Reporting Template (EMRT). This is a template that was formally launched on November 11, 2022.
What’s New in AMRT 1.31
Changes to AMRT 1.31 from the prior version include:
- Update to ISO short names for countries, states / provinces
- Corrected date input issue on Declaration tab
- Updates to Smelter Reference List and Standard Smelter List
The new AMRT template and the AMRT FAQ are available on the RMI website.
The RMI recommends using AMRT 1.31 or higher for the Reporting Year. The next version of the AMRT is anticipated to be released in Fall 2026.
